How to delete your account

1. Open the Bhansa app on your device
2. Go to Settings (tap the gear icon)
3. Scroll down to Privacy & Data
4. Tap Delete Account
5. Confirm deletion when prompted

Data deleted straight away

• Your account, profile and preferences, including allergy and dietary information
• Saved and imported recipes, notes, collections and share links
• Meal plans, pantry, shopping lists and cooking history
• Food log, nutrition profile and nutrition goals
• Taste profile, recipe feedback, credits and consents
• Feature requests, reports about AI answers and support screenshots linked to your account
• Cached data and Mira chat histories tied to your account on our servers
• Households and shared meal plans you own (for all their members) and your membership of others
• Your RevenueCat subscription customer record. If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to revoke Bhansa's access to your Apple ID

Data that can be kept, and for how long

• Server logs and database backups: kept by our hosting providers for a limited period, then overwritten. We never restore a deleted account from a backup
• Bug report text in our private issue tracker: until the issue is resolved, or sooner if you email us to delete it
• Transaction records we must keep by law, for the period the law requires
• Records held by Apple, Google and our other providers, under their own retention policies
• Copies other people saved from your share links, and content you added to a household or shared plan someone else owns
• Data on your other devices, until you open the app there or remove it

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.

Request deletion without the app

If you are unable to delete your account through the app, email us at support@bhansa.app with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and we will process your request within 7 business days.
